Jo Ann Juneau

Jo Ann Juneau, age 74, of Gatesville passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Ireland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Jo Ann was born on September 13, 1944 in San Francisco, CA to the late Eldred Joe (EJ) and Mildred Davis Pearson, while her dad was serving in the US Coast Guard. She graduated from Buras High School in Buras, LA and attended Abilene Christian University from 1962-63. In 1963, she married Calvin Davis in Gatesville. After her separation from Calvin, she moved to Louisiana and worked from 1973 to 1988 as a clerk at the New Orleans Bap Plant until it closed. In July of 1987, she married Irvin Juneau, Sr. in Gretna, LA and he passed away in September of the same year. Jo Ann moved back to Gatesville and worked as a correctional officer in 1990. She retired after many years of service. Those who knew Jo Ann, knew she had a love for cats. Over the past 30 years she loved two cats, Boo Boo and Gracie whom she treated as her children. Jo Ann also loved Elvis Presley and made several trips to Graceland, Zumba, and enjoyed Pitbull concerts. She was a lifelong Church of Christ member. Jo Ann was preceded in death by parents; husband, Irvin Juneau; and her two cats. Jo Ann is survived by numerous cousins and friends.
