Joe Keith Bohne, age 65 of McGregor, Texas, passed away peacefully, October 2, 2020 at home in the loving presence of his family.  A celebration of life will be held at his residence on Saturday, October 10^th, at 10:00 a.m. with close friend Richard Allen presiding. 

Keith was born in Waco, Texas on July 29^th, 1955 to Wilbur Bohne and Myrtice White Bohne.  He attended McGregor and Gatesville ISD, graduating from Gatesville High School in 1973.  While in school at Gatesville he was a member of The Rodeo Club, participating in bull riding.  After graduating he enjoyed team roping with his beloved horse “Brownie.” 

He was owner/operator of Keith Bohne Livestock Carriers for over 20 years.  Following retirement from trucking he began a land clearing business, Keith Bohne Land Development.  He was so proud of his slogan for the business, “You Don’t Know What You’ve Got Till It’s Gone.”  He also enjoyed ranching and spending time at home. 

He was proceeded in death by grandparents, Bill and Annie Bohne, Dee and Myrtle White; and aunt, Gladys Bohne Hollan.

Survivors include his wife, Suzanne Spoonts Bohne; father, Wilbur Bohne; mother, Myrtice White Bohne; son, William Clay Bohne and wife, Rachel; daughter, Shannon Renee Bohne Smith and husband, Andy; stepsons, Jarod Johnson and wife, Cori, Matthew Johnson and wife, Carragh, Colby Johnson and wife, Kelli; stepdaughter, Mary Ashleigh Huddleston and husband, Travis; grandchildren, Madison and Preslee Bohne, Weston and Reese Smith, Canyon and Bryer Johnson, Weston and Macy Johnson; and brother, Dale Bohne.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Kathy Davis, our special angel.  Also, thank you to all of the hospice team members who came to care for Keith and our family during his last days.
