John M. Stamper

John Stamper, age 65 of Gatesville, formerly of Temple and Belton, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville, with Rev. Tim Crosby officiating.

John was born on January 8, 1956 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to the late James H. Stamper, Sr. and Mary St. Clair Stamper.  He worked in construction in the Temple/Belton area, as a technician in the surgical department of Scott & White Hospital in Temple for many years, for Walmart in Belton for several years and most recently for Belton ISD in the maintenance/janitorial department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Mary Stamper; brothers, James (Jim) Stamper II and Mark Stamper.

He is survived by his sisters, Barbara Lee Cogdill, Elaine Rentfro; brother-in-law, Bob and many nieces and nephews.
