Johnebelle Line Chesser

Johnebelle Line Chesser, age 72 of Gatesville, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 in Temple.

Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.

Johnebelle was born on July 23, 1948 in Anahuac, Texas to the late John and Mary King Line.  She grew up in Anahuac and graduated from Anahuac High School.  She then attended the University of Houston, graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Education.  She taught school for 36 years at Clear Lake High in Houston and Brazos Middle School in Waco.  She married Pat Chesser on January 17, 2001.  They have resided in Gatesville since 2002.  Her and Pat enjoyed fishing, traveling and holding hands.

She is survived by her husband, Pat Chesser; daughters, Joelene Hankins, Tanis Doucet; son, Mike Lewis; and sixteen grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Pat has designated memorials in Johnebelle’s memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
