Johnny C. Gomez

Johnny C. Gomez, age 79 of Oglesby, passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023.

Celebration of life services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at the Oglesby Community Center.    

Johnny was born on July 25, 1944, to the late Nicolas and Felipa Cardosa Gomez of Coolidge, Texas.  He was raised and attended school in Prairie Hill, Texas.  Johnny moved to Oglesby after high school and worked most of his life as an Independent Contractor.  He enjoyed working with his hands, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rita; sister, Minnie; and a great-grandson, Noah.

Johnny is survived by his children, Johnny Gomez, Nancy Brand, Lindy Key, Stephen Gomez, and Jason Matthew; sisters, Mary, Gloria, and Linda; brothers, Domingo, and Phillip; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Bubba.
