Juanita Bodden

Juanita Bodden, age 82 of Mound, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 in Waco.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at White Mound Baptist Church, with Rev. Bruce Cox officiating.  Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery.

Juanita was born on November 10, 1938 in the Pulltight community, near Mound, to the late Joseph and Willie Mars Pruett.  She grew up in Mound and went to school there and in Flat.   She married Dan Bodden and he preceded her in death in 1990.  She has resided in the Mound community most of her life.  She worked as a waitress at Dyers Restaurant, Davidson Upholstery and owned and operated Mound Grocery Store and Snack Bar.  She was a member of White Mound Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Wayne “PeeWee” Neuman; and siblings, Bill Pruett, Lena Mae Taylor, Robert Pruett and William Pruett.

Juanita is survived by her children, Jimmy Argabright and wife, Patsy, Billy Joe Argabright, Sissy Leonard and husband, Ed, Mistie Neuman Madrid and husband, Jessie; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family has designated memorials be made to Mound Cemetery Assn., P.O. Box 177, Mound, TX 76558.
