Keith Alan Meaders

Keith Meaders, age 62 of Gatesville, passed away at home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

 Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the Gatesville Church of Christ with Minister Justin Hall officiating.  Interment will follow at King Cemetery. Keith’s family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

 Keith Alan Meaders was born on August 4, 1961 to the late Norm and Sherrell Everett Meaders in Killeen, Texas.  He attended school in Gatesville, graduating from Gatesville High School in 1979.  After graduation, he worked for Sim’s Cabinets where he learned carpentry skills that led him to create his own business, working alongside Jimmie and Kayli Cummings.  He met the love of his life, Susan Lee, and the two were married on June 23, 1984, making their home in Gatesville.  Keith loved playing all kinds of sports, including basketball, tennis, and racquetball, but most of all, he loved being there for his children as they followed their own dreams and passions.  He loved being a son, brother, uncle, and husband, but being a daddy and pawpaw were some of the best moments of his life!  Spending time with his family meant more than anything.  Keith enjoyed being outdoors, swimming in the creek and working with his dogs and farm animals.  All who knew him will miss his smile and contagious laughter.  Keith was a member of the Gatesville Church of Christ.   

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Norm Meaders and Sherrell Broam; sister Peggy; and brother, David.

 Keith is survived by his wife, Susan Meaders; children, Seth Meaders and wife, Britney, Nicholas Meaders and wife, Rachel, and Tristen Meaders and fiancé, Garrett Lowe; sisters, Ramona Cox and husband, Gary, Kelly Grant and husband, Weldon, and Belinda Duncan and husband, Peter; brother, Terry Meaders and wife, Elizabeth; and grandchildren, Eli Meaders and Baker Meaders.  

 In lieu of flowers, Keith’s family requests memorials be made to the Big Sting, 3417 Imperial Dr., Gatesville, TX 76528, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
