Kenneth Adams age 77 of Purmela, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at his home.
An informal celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held for family and friends at the family lake house at 2:00p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020.
Kenneth was born March 6, 1942 in Levita to J.O. "Bob" and Laneta Beechly Adams. He went to grade school in Levita and Pecos. He graduated from Wylie High School in Abilene, TX and married Betty McMahan in 1961.
Kenneth first got a taste of the vending business when he worked with an uncle delivering fresh bread as a young boy. He continued working in the vending business until the early 80's when he moved back home to Purmela. He then worked at Laerdal Medical Plastics until his retirement in 2004.
Kenneth loved fishing, camping with family and friends, gardening and traveling. He especially loved country music and listening to his father play the fiddle. Kenneth was a talented storyteller and loved to reminisce about flying in his father's airplanes.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, and his son Ricky.
He is survived by his daughter, Lori Hogue and husband, Brad; five grandchildren, Robert, Alan and Adam Adkisson, Daniel and Lauren Hogue; and one great-grandchild, Grayson Adkisson; and many beloved cousins and friends.
