Kenneth Charles Oliver

Kenneth Oliver, age 72 of Gatesville, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023. 

Kenneth Charles Oliver was born to the late Kenneth Ray Oliver and Mildred Edith Ann Biggs Hocker on November 24, 1950 in San Angelo.  He attended school at Sunset High School in Dallas, prior to moving away to accept an overseas security position.  Upon returning to the United States, Kenneth moved to Gatesville where he worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Correctional Officer in the Field Force, as well as a Maintenance Technician.  He retired after 12 years.

Kenneth regularly participated in various activities at Old Fort Parker Historical Site near Groesbeck.  He enjoyed camping, loved traveling, and was said to be a great cook by those who were close to him.  He also loved and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Lawrence Ray Oliver.

He is survived by his fiancé, Regina Dixon; sons, Justin Rhyne, Jason Rhyne, Jeramy Rhyne; sister, Linda Fallwell; brother, Kenneth Howard Oliver; grandchildren, Justin Eric Rhyne Jr., Vanessa Faith Mcvay, Jacob Wayne Rhyne, Cheyenne Nicole Rhyne; and great-grandchildren, Arabella Rose Rhyne, Celena Trevino, William Trevino, and Isabelle James.
