Kris Pearce

Kris Pearce, age 20 of Gatesville, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2020 at the Turnersville Community Tabernacle.  Private family interment will be at Ater Cemetery.

Kris was born on Feb. 23, 1999 in Temple.  He graduated from Gatesville High School in 2017.  Kris was an excellent welder and won first place in 2016 at the Skills USA District meet advancing to State.  He worked at Leaird’s Furniture in Gatesville delivering furniture where he loved meeting new people.  Kris enjoyed video games, the outdoors, driving fast, loud exhausts, and the Wal-Mart parking lot.  He had a kind heart and loved every kind of animal, often bringing them home with him.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dr. R.W. (Dickey) Moreland, D.V.M.

He is survived by his parents, Kristie Moreland Pearce; Steve Pearce and wife, Tammi; brothers, Garrett Pearce, Brian Pearce; sisters, Marlo Reinhardt, Meagan Studley, Taylor Allen, Tanna Carpenter; grandparents, Rose Mary Moreland and Quinton and Shirley Pearce.
