Larry Wooten, age 76 of Gatesville, passed away on the morning of November 23, 2019 after a prolonged illness. He will be laid to rest at Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Larry was born on October 6, 1943 in Clifton Hill, MO to the late Ernest and Faye Edmiaston Wooten.  He traveled the United States growing up before he settled in central Texas. He went to work as a letter carrier in Illinois before being called to serve his country in the United States Army.  Larry served his country for 20 years before being honorably discharged as a Chief Warrant Officer 3.  After his service Larry went back to work as a letter carrier in Belton, TX.  He retired from the Postal Service with 20 plus years of service. Larry loved model HO Gauge trains and fishing. He was also a lifetime member of VFW Post #3892.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Larry is survived by his wife, Lynda Sue Sears Wooten; cousin, Gary Kerr; sister, JoAnn Bowers; daughter, Laura Richardson and husband, Larry; granddaughter, Melody Marie Fernandez, and husband Nick; great-granddaughter Amelia Grace Fernandez; and grandson, James Lee Sales.

The family is holding a private service, and request memorials be given to, Bluebonnet Health Services 307 Londonderry, Waco, TX 76712.
