Lifang Guo

Lifang Guo, age 56 of Gatesville, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Scott’s Funeral Home with Pastor Don McConnaughhay officiating. Her family will receive visitors at the funeral home one hour prior to services. 

Lifang was born on September 5, 1968 in Beihai China, the same place where she grew up and attended school. She worked as a housekeeper in the hotel industry for most of her life. She also owned and operated a movie rental store in Beihai, and later worked as a cook for McDonalds after moving to the United States. In 2002, she met Charles Cowsert and the two were married on November 22, 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She and Charles made their home in White Lake, Michigan until 2021, when they moved to Gatesville. Lifang enjoyed gardening and spending time talking with friends and family.

Lifang was preceded in death by her mother, Fuzhen Wu, and her first husband. She is survived by her father, Lizhou Guo; husband of 21 years, Charles; daughter, Fangting Huang; three older sisters; and several nieces.
