Linda Ann Barton

Linda Barton, age 71, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, September 6, 2024. 

Private family memorial services will be held. 

Linda Kincheloe Barton was born January 25, 1953 in Gatesville to the late Clarence “Ray” and Mary Kincheloe. Her family soon moved to Odessa where she spent her childhood life. During her adult years, she lived in both Lubbock and San Angelo, where she raised her boys. In 2007, Linda began raising her granddaughter, Lari. She remained with Linda for the rest of her life and was always Mom to her. She returned to her hometown of Gatesville in 2014 to be closer to her family. She loved cooking and camping with her friends and family. Linda was a phenomenal homemaker, the meals she prepared “stuck to your bones” and her house was always spotless. You could always find her with a Dr. Pepper in her hand. 

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Glen Kincheloe; and her yorkies, Chloe and Sadie, whom she dearly loved. 

Linda is survived by her children, Lari Dunlap; James Dunlap, and wife Gidget; Larry Dunlap and wife, Heather; Jerry Dunlap and wife, Melissa; brother, Daryl Kincheloe; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
