Linda Brown, age 71 of Flat, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at her home.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Smith Cemetery in Purmela.
Linda was born on February 25, 1949 in Gatesville, to the late James and Velma Basham Logan. She spent her childhood in Purmela and Pearl, attending schools there as well as Evant and Gatesville. During her childhood, she helped her parents on their farm and spent a lot of time riding her horse, "Banner". She married Roy Brown on May 14, 1971 in Belton. She was a licensed beautician, homemaker and production worker. She was fondly known as “Mema” by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She blessed many lives and her hard work and love created a true home for them. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Barbara “Barbie” Thomas.
Linda is survived by her husband, Roy; children, Gene Brown, Sandra Brown, Jamie Brown, Stacey Shipp; brothers, James Dearl Logan, Randall Logan, Don Logan; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
