Louise Yows, age 78, of Coryell City passed away Friday, May 7, 2021 in Clifton, Texas. Services are scheduled for 10 AM Monday May 10, 2021 at St. John Lutheran Church in Coryell City. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 PM, Sunday May 9, 2021 at the funeral home. Louise was born December 30, 1942 in Gatesville, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Albert Jacobs and Esther Gohlke Jacobs. Louise was confirmed in 1957 at St. John Lutheran Church in Coryell City. She attended school in Coryell City, Gatesville, and graduated from Crawford High School in 1960. On June 10, 1960 she married Roger Paul Yows in McGregor, Texas. Louise was preceded in death by her husband Roger; parents, Albert and Esther Jacobs; and infant brother Sherman. Survivors include a brother Lester Jacobs of Coryell City; sons Marcus Yows of Coryell City and special friend Sandra Hirschfield of Kingwood; Randy Yows and wife Tristan of Jarrell; grandchildren Steven Murdock and wife Darla, Matthew Murdock and wife Sydney, Brittany Murdock, Lisa Yows, and Marcus Paul Yows of Seadrift, Matthew Landers, Sarah Landers, Abbigail McNiel, Laurin McNiel, and Wyatt McNiel; and five great-grandchildren. Louise touched many lives over the years through her membership and service in the St. John Lutheran Church. She also made many friends and helped many others in the Gatesville community during her 35 years at The National Bank. She enjoyed traveling and took numerous trips including Europe, the Holy Land, and many places in the U.S. She will always be remembered by her family and friends for her words of wisdom that we should all carry with us: “This too shall pass.” The family would like to thank the staff of Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home and Lutheran Sunset Hospice for all their care and support.
