Magalene Biggs

Magalene Biggs, age 82 of the Mound community, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 in Gatesville.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Mound Cemetery.

Magalene was born on April 21, 1938 in Athens, to the late Pearl and Fayrene Foster Skaggs.  She grew up in east Texas and graduated from Garland High School in 1957.  She married Calton Biggs on July 19, 1963.  They have resided in Mound since 1996. 

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Lynn Willhoit; sister, Betty Bennett; and a great-grandson, Jonah.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, C.R. Biggs; children, Marlin (Buddy) Jones, Robert Biggs, Rodney Biggs, Kim Biggs; sister, Frances Warwick; brother, Bobby Skaggs; grandchildren, Chance, Randi, Kaylie, Dustin, Joey, Cooper, Jacob, Jessica, Jaimee; and numerous great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has designated that memorials be made to the Mound Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 177, Mound, TX 76558.
