Marcus Lassiter

It is with great sadness that the family of Marcus David Lassiter announces his passing on Friday, September, 28, 2018, at the age of 65. Marcus will be remembered for his wit, humor, laughter, and strong will.  He loved the outdoors.  He grew up in McGregor hunting and fishing with his friends.  He attended McGregor High School.  He proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Enterprise, receiving a bronze star while serving in Vietnam.  He had many business accomplishments; however, he was the most proud of his relationships with family and friends.Marcus was preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Nancy E. Lassiter.He is survived by his son, Kevin Green and wife, Michelle; daughter, Natasha Anderson and husband, Will; sister, Tracie Anaya and husband, Johnny; brother, Mitchell Lassiter, and wife, Becky; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four nieces; one great-niece; one great-nephew; and his special fur baby and constant companion, King Louie.A celebration of his life will be Thursday, October 11, 2018 at the American Legion in McGregor from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
