Margaret McGlothlin

Margaret Ann McGlothlin, age 85 of Belton, formerly of Gatesville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020 in Belton.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Edward Schaub officiating.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Interment will be at Gatesville Masonic Cemetery.

Margaret was born on Dec. 18, 1934 in Gatesville, to the late Sidney Loyd and Virgie Mae Hart Hancock.  She grew up in Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School in 1954.  She married James Roy McGlothlin on Nov. 4, 1955.  She was a member of the Church of Christ.  Her husband preceded her in death on August 25, 2008.

She is survived by her children, Betsy Clark of Evant, Allan McGlothlin and wife, Kathy of Cleburne, Leah Hodges and husband, Derek of Belton; sister, Linda Bartlett of Gatesville; six grandchildren, Cliff Clark and wife, Rachel, Matthew Clark and wife, Melissa, Sarah Fleischer and husband, Richard, Mason McGlothlin, Jake Holmes and wife, Taylor, Kyle Holmes; and five great-grandchildren.
