Margaret Sue Henson

Margaret Sue Henson, 80, of Gatesville passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 in Temple. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2018 at Post Oak Cemetery in Oglesby. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday at Scott’s Funeral Home.Margaret was born on July 29, 1938 to the late Calvin and Hattie Harbin Mallard in Holly, Texas. She married Virgil Ray Henson on November 9, 1954 and they raised nine children together. She loved to quilt, collect red birds, and enjoyed pictures of her family. Margaret was a devoted lifelong homemaker who loved caring for her family.Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and three children, Calvin Henson, Catherine Henson, and Barbara Kay Henson-Hannah.Margaret is survived by her children, Linda Sue Carr, Virgil Lee Henson, Clara Faye Henson, Kenneth Ray Henson, Shera Suzanne Henson, Debbie Lynn Henson, Rebecca Ann Henson-King, and Terry Wayne Henson; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.Memorials may be made to the Gatesville Care Center, 105 N. 7th Street, Gatesville, TX 76528.
