Maria Carmen Pfitzner

Maria Pfitzner, age 73 of Gatesville, went to be with her heavenly father on the morning of February 27, 2021. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 8, 2021 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at King Cemetery.

Maria was born on March 8, 1947 in Santiago, Chile to the late Luis Pizarro and Justina Medina.   She grew up in Santiago, and once completing her education immigrated to the United States becoming a U.S. citizen.  She positively influenced the lives of many she met living most of her life in the Central Texas area and always treasured and reflected upon the ‘goodness’ seen in others.  A great Mother, Wife, and Christian she had a love of life and open spaces to tend which allowed the beauty of nature to flourish. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Maria is survived by her son, Michael Lawhorn and wife, Lisa, of Larkspur, CO and her sister, Luisa Pizzaro, of Santiago, Chile.
