Mary E. Lewis

Mary E. Lewis, age 87 of Gatesville, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 in Gatesville.Memorial services will be held at a later date at Trinity Baptist Church.She was born on October 13, 1930 in Houston, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Lane and Roxanna Bailey Jenkins.  She graduated from high school, and then entered the U.S. Army, serving one term and was honorably discharged.  She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone and retired after 17 years of service.  She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Pressley Burns of Gatesville; son, Wes Barrett of Denver, CO; brother, Bubby Jenkins; and one granddaughter, Caitlan Burns.
