Mike Tippit

Mike Tippit, age 65 of Flat, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Michael Lane Tippit was born on March 6, 1957 in Gatesville.  He was the only child of the late Feno Eugene and Doris Jean Walker Tippit.  He grew up in Flat and lived in Colorado for a few years, before returning to his hometown.  He was known in his younger years as an excellent dirt bike rider and thrill seeker.

Mike is survived by his son, Marty Tippit and wife, Tanna of Gatesville; grandson, Gavin Tippit; as well as the several friends he made throughout his lifetime.
