Milton "Boy" Collins Lam

Milton Collins “Boy” Lam, age 90 of Flat, passed away on April 7, 2019 at a local nursing home.  A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Boy was born on December 22, 1928 in Mound to the late Mat and Lillie Dyson Lam.  He grew up in a tight knit family surrounded by cousins in Mound.  He attended school in Mound and Gatesville.  After high school Boy went to work in the panhandle with other family members.  He later joined the U.S. Army getting stationed in occupied Germany, where he served as a medic.  After his service he returned to Mound where he would join his family in the construction business.  Boy had a love for animals, from his mules and horses to his coon dogs and game roosters.  He will be missed by the many that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Lillie Kathryn; and sister, Freda Lam Boy is survived by his many cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Mound Cowboy Church, P.O.
