Nick Panos

Nick Eugene Panos, age 69, of Gatesville, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Parrish residence, 9790 E. US Hwy 84, Gatesville.Nick was born on October 3, 1949 in Waco to the late George Panos and Lola Duncan Panos Shelburne.  He grew up in Waco and Houston, graduating in 1967 from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston.  He was a machinist and worked at Rocketdyne in McGregor.  Later in his career, he owned and operated a courier service in Arizona.  He married Pam Styes on October 23, 2010.  They have resided in Gatesville since 2008.  His hobbies included show dogs, hunting, fishing, gun collecting, reloading ammunition and watching little league baseball games. He was also preceded in death by an uncle that he admired, W.R. (Dude) Duncan.Nick is survived by his wife, Pam Panos; daughter, Tracy Walters and husband, Donnie of Houston; sons, Danny Panos and wife, Erin of Houston, Ryan Panos of Rosebud; brothers, Larry Shelburne and wife, Belinda of Waco, Clint Shelburne and wife, Kathy of Hewitt, Chuck Shelburne and wife, Carla of Golinda, Jason Panos and wife, Priscilla of Pearland, Jimmy Pierce and wife, Jan of Pearland, Jody Pierce and wife, Tara of Massachussetts; grandchildren, Benjamin, Brian, Cyris, Adrian, Madison and Caleb and numerous nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to The Big Sting, 3417 Imperial Dr., Gatesville, TX 76528.
