Pam Rice

Pam Rice, age 64 of Gatesville, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023.

Memorial services will be scheduled at a future date by her family.

Pamela Jean Rice was born on January 9, 1959, to the late Charles and Donna Stauffer Miller in Fort Worth, Texas.  She grew up and attended school in Jerseyville, Illinois, working in the service industry for most of her life.  In August 2013, she married Michael Rice and the two made their home in Gatesville.  She had a green thumb and nurtured hundreds of plants.  She was an active member of the Gatesville Plant and Garden Community where she shared her love for plants with others.  She also had a special place in her heart for her many animals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tara Perdun; and grandchildren, Casandra Jo, and Nathaniel Ryan.

Pam is survived by her husband of 10 years, Michael; daughter Trisha Grizzle; brothers, Mike Miller and wife, Patty, and Ron Miller. 

In lieu of flowers, Pam’s family requests that memorials be made to the Boys and Girls Club, 2533 E. Main Street, Gatesville, TX 76528, or to Friends Helping Veterans and Kids Thrift Store, 2514 S. Business Hwy 36, Gatesville TX 76528.
