Pedro “Pete” Rodriguez

Pete Rodriguez, age 50, of Gatesville, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018.  Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery.  Pete was born on May 5, 1968 to Emilio and Mercedes Chacon Rodriguez in Mexico. When Pete was six years old his family moved to Coryell City. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1987. After high school, he attended Universal Technical Institute in Houston. He lived for several years in Houston before moving back to Gatesville in 2010. He married Christian Casselman on March 5, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Emilio Rodriguez, in 2009. Pete is survived by his wife, Christian Rodriguez; daughter, Sarah Rodriguez; mother, Mercedes Rodriguez; sisters, Patricia Garibay Bartolo and husband, Cesar, Elsa Wright and husband, Weldon, Angelica “Kelly” David and husband, Michael, Julia Helms; and a host of nieces and nephews.
