Rev. Steven Bogan

Rev. Steven Bogan, age 71 of Gatesville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 7, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Evangelist Monty Martin officiating.  Private graveside services will be held. Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12th at the funeral home.

Brother Bogan was born on October 9, 1950 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Vernon and Catherine Flick Bogan.  He grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from Colerain High School in 1969.  He received a Bachelor of Science Degree, from the University of Cincinnati in 1972.  He fulfilled his Bible studies at Baptist Bible College East. He married Karen Ely on December 16, 1972.  He pastored for five years east of Cincinnati and served as a missionary in Germany. He and his wife moved to Gatesville in 1994, when he accepted the call to be the Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Karen Bogan; daughters, Katheryn Gamboa and husband, Harvey, Stephanie Aiken and husband, Chris; brother, Dan Bogan and wife, Terry; two grandsons, Joseph Rodriguez and David Rodriguez.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for memorials to be made to Royal C Ranch, c/o Calvary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 834, Eufaula, OK 74432.
