Richard M. Adams

Richard M. Adams, age 71, of Gatesville, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Gatesville Church of Christ with Minister Loyd Hall officiating.Richard was born on October 16, 1946 in Gatesville, to the late J.M. and Venita Powell Adams.  He grew up in Gatesville and graduated from Gatesville High School in 1965.  He worked for Nolte Auto and Carver Auto for 40 plus years, Dwight’s Cars and Lindsey’s Trailers, and at O’Reilly Auto Parts until December of 2017.  A large part of Richard’s life was his love of music and was the photographer for the monthly Gatesville Jamboree and the Pearl Bluegrass Jam.  He also loved all types of car racing and NASCAR in later years, where he attended every race since the opening of Texas Motor Speedway.  He was a member of the Gatesville Church of Christ.He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Ronnie W. Adams.Richard is survived by his brothers, Nathan J. Adams and Prentice F. Adams.Memorials may be made to Gatesville Church of Christ, 2417 E. Main Street, Gatesville, TX 76528.
