Robert “Bob” Mitchell Baker

Robert “Bob” Baker, age 61 of Robinson, passed away on the morning of July 7, 2021. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Restland Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at Scott’s Funeral Home.

Robert was born on April 25, 1960 in Gatesville, Texas to Joan and Horace Baker. Bob excelled in baseball, basketball, and football. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1978. Bob attended Texas State Technical Institution after high school and began fixing air crafts. Bob traveled all over the world, seeing the many beautiful places God created. He told many stories of flying over the Norwegian fjords, visiting the Amazon Rainforest, and making Panama his second home. Fishing, playing softball, working in the garden and watching the Rangers were a few of his favorite hobbies.

He is preceded in death by his father, Horace Baker.

Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Joan Baker; sister, Beverly Baker; and two daughters, Kimberly Baker and Kelly Baker Deville with husband, Mason.
