Robert Earl Culberson

Robert Earl Culberson, age 59 of Gatesville, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023.

Memorial Services will be scheduled by the family at a later date.

Robert was born on May 9, 1964, to the late Robert Earl Carter and Ruby Elizabeth Williams of Gatesville. He grew up and attended school in Gatesville, graduating in 1983. Robert attended TSTI and completed the required coursework to become a machinist. Later in life he completed a doctorate degree in Theology. He worked with several organizations over the years including the City of Gatesville, the Highway Department, a nursing facility and Kalyn Trailers. Robert and Stephanie Culberson married in 2002 and they spent many years together.

Robert was known to be funny, always cracking jokes and making others laugh. He loved to sing, all day and every day. He had a good heart and was compassionate, always thinking of others. Robert loved the Lord and knew the Bible. He dearly loved his family and grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Azziza; brother, Bobby Hamilton; and son, Ronnie Evans.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Culberson; sons, Andrew Evans, Robert Evans, and wife Bianca; nine grandchildren; sister, Ruby Brown and husband Lawrence; brother, Harry Culberson and wife Crystal; and a host of nieces and nephews.
