Ronnie Pierce

Randolph “Ronnie” Pierce, age 65, of Gatesville passed away on Saurday, March 1, 2025. 

Graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville. Visitation will be held Wednesday March 5, 2025, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Scott’s Funeral Home.

Ronnie was born on November 18, 1959, to the late Bertha Ortega Macedo. After Ronnie reunited with his father, the late Louis Pierce, he unexpectedly gained a second mother, the late Lucy Pierce, who welcomed him into her life as if he was her own.

Ronnie married Jessica on June 25, 1983, in Gatesville, where they made their home and raised a family. Ronnie retired from the State of Texas after 32 years. Ronnie, never one to sit still long, started at TTG Utilities in 2014 where he worked until his passing. Ronnie spent his time working on many projects and was often depended upon for his expertise. Ronnie’s true passion was spending time with his family, especially the grandkids. Ronnie enjoyed guiding his and Jessica’s extended family with wisdom, love, reliability and consistency. 

Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Ortega Macedo; father, Louis Pierce; second mother, Lucy Pierce; brother, Paul Pina; sister, Sharon Pierce; and dear nephew, Larry Gray.

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jessica Pierce; son, Randy Pierce; daughter, Kelley Shults and spouse, Ryan; and grandchildren, Brooklynn Pierce, and Robert and Lillian Shults.

Ronnie leaves a legacy of unwavering perseverance and strength to his ten sisters, three brothers, nieces, nephews, great niece and nephew and every person he called friend.
