Rosa Rodriguez Moreno

Rosa R. Moreno, age 82 of Gatesville, passed away on the morning of December 11, 2019. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 13, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.

Rosa was born on September 4, 1937 in Gonzales, TX to the late Manuel and Anastasia Ramos Rodriguez.  She grew up and attended school in Gonzales, Nixon area. She met Gilbert Moreno and they were married on December 12, 1959 in Nixon, TX. They moved to West Texas and raised their family before moving to Gatesville around the year 2000.  Rosa loved sewing, flower gardening, her novellas and her Lord.  Her heart was in her home surrounded by family. She will be missed and loved by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lupe Rodriguez Sr.; sisters, Dora Riojas, and Juanita Ramirez.

Rosa is survived by her husband, of almost 60 years, Gilbert; sons, Johnny Moreno and wife, Maria Angelita and Jimmy Moreno; daughters, Velma Lewis and husband, David, and Eliza Wright; grandchildren, Natasha, Samantha, Tiffany, Clayton, Micaela, John Austin, Mona, Jacob, and Jaxon; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Luis Rodriquez; sister, Maria Ramirez; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
