Rose Marie Jackson

Rose Marie Jackson, age 60 of Mound, TX, passed away on the morning of April 2, 2020. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Rose Marie was born on May 28, 1959 in Hollywood, CA to the late Louis and Juanita Martinez Garcia. She grew up in Pico Rivera, CA graduating from El Rancho High School in 1977. Rose attended Cal-Poly Tech for a few years before marring Roy Jackson in 1980.  She followed Roy in his military career before settling in central Texas. Rose Marie continued her education receiving a Bachelor’s degree from Central Texas College.  She retired from TDCJ in 2014. Rose Marie loved sewing and working in her garden.  Rose Marie will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.   

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; two brothers; and a grandson, Daniel Cooper.

Rose Marie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Roy Jackson; daughters, Jennifer Cooper and husband, Jacob, and Sarah Jackson; granddaughter, Catherine Cooper; a sister, Maria Lucero; brothers, Freddy and Larry Garcia; and many nieces nephews and cousins.
