Roy Baggett

Roy Baggett, age 88 of Gatesville, passed away at his home on Friday, June 14, 2024.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2024 at Cedar Ridge Church of Christ in Gatesville, with Minister Deral McWhorter officiating.

Roy Elbert Baggett was born on February 28, 1936 in Tampa, Florida to the late Julian Herman and Donna Ola Spahler Baggett. He graduated from Brandon High School in Tampa, Florida in 1954. He joined the United States Army in 1958, serving in Vietnam and Korea. He was honorably discharged and retired in 1981 with 23 years of service as a MSG. He then went to work as a civil service employee at Ft. Cavazos with the D.O.I.M. retiring as a supervisor, after 20 years of service in 2002. Roy enjoyed golfing, working in the yard and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Cedar Ridge Church of Christ.

Roy is survived by his wife of 27 years, Margie Baggett; children, Steve Baggett and wife Barbara, Gary Baggett and wife, Jayme and Derek Brinkmann and wife Molly; grandchildren, Steven Baggett, Sarah Baggett, Christian Rommer, Daniel Baggett and Matthew Brinkmann.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Ridge Church of Christ, 104 Cedar Ridge Road, Gatesville, TX 76528.
