Samantha (Sam) Mawhiney

Samantha (Sam) Kay Mawhiney, 57, of Gatesville passed peacefully Monday, August 22, 2022 at her home with her family at her side.

She was born November 13, 1964 in Pecos, Texas to Wayne Arthur Mawhiney and Donna Ruth Baize Mawhiney. She grew up in Midland, Texas. She had one child, her son, Nicholas, who blessed her with 4 grandchildren, Azelynn, Brystol, Atlas, and Aiden. Sam loved her family with all her heart. She was quite the homemaker, taking pride in her home by working in her yard and fixing up anything that might need some attention. Sam enjoyed life. She liked to fish and enjoyed having a good time with her family and friends.

Sam will be missed dearly by her mom, son, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, and many extended family members.
