Sharron Moore

Sharron Moore, age 68 of Gatesville, went to be with her heavenly family on July 17, 2019. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Scott’s Funeral Home. A private family burial will follow at Slater Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Funeral Home.

Sharron was born on May 20, 1951 in Gatesville to the late F.L. Powell and Bernice Millsap Powell. She grew up in Gatesville attending school in Gatesville, graduating with the class of 1969. Sharron married Raymie Moore on September 14, 1991 in South Mountain. She worked for eight years as a teachers aid before going to work as a corrections officer at TDCJ.  She retired with 25 years of service.  Sharron liked sewing and canning while she was at home. She loved spending time with her granddaughters. Sharron loved genealogy, history, and camping.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Missi Dawn Dunahoo; good friend, Marti Blackman.

Sharron is survived by her husband of 27 years, Raymie Moore; sons, David Dunahoo and wife Margaret, Raymond Fowler of Huntsville, TX; granddaughters, Rebecca, Rachel, and Rianna Dunahoo; great-granddaughter, Lily Dawn; brothers, Frank Powell and wife Phyllis, and Gil Powell; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
