Sherry Lowe

Mrs. Sherry Lee Lowe, age 87 of Gatesville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at her home. 

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2023 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel in Gatesville. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Graveside services are scheduled at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. 

Sherry Lee Lowe was born on November 30, 1935 in Roseboro, North Carolina.  She was a military wife who traveled around the world with her three children and her husband, who served in the US Army. She worked at the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lowe Jr.; parents, Minnie Pearl Peterson Faircloth and Haywood Faircloth; four brothers, James Manly Faircloth, Elwood Faircloth, Eddie Faircloth, Ive Faircloth; sister, Fannie Faircloth; and one granddaughter, Lynn Lowe.

Sherry is survived by her children, Charles L. Lowe of Gatesville, Robert Gene Lowe of  Defuniak, Florida, Carolyn D. Lowe of Gatesville; sister, Ellen Cashwell and brother, Rob Faircloth, both of Sampson County, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Layo M. Lowe of Gatesville, Sylvia Ramirez of Defuniak, Florida, Sherry Burbank of Kinston, Alabama, Erica Lowe; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
