Stanley Arthur Hibner, age 64, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018. There are no services scheduled at this time.Stanley was born on July 27, 1954 in Corvallis, OR, to Wilma Lee and the late Robert Hibner. He grew up in Corvallis for a short time before moving around the western United States. Some of the places Stanley visited growing up but not limited to were, Reno, NV, Cebolla, NM, and San Francisco, CA. In January of 1972, Stanley joined the U.S. Army and went to Korea to serve his country. He was Honorably Discharged on April 23, 1974. Stanley re-enlisted on April 24, 1974, and served five more years in Germany before he was Honorably Discharged for the second time. During the mid to late 90’s, Stanley moved to Gatesville and later met and married Cynthia Potter in 2002. Stanley retired from the City of Gatesville Water Dept. in 2012. Stanley loved to collecting things, especially, knives, guns, pocket watches and most recently, coins. Some hobbies that Stanley enjoyed were riding motorcycles, shooting guns from his collection, and sitting around watching T.V.He was preceded in death by his father; and wife, Cynthia Potter.Stanley is survived by his children, Gina Wilson and husband, Ira of Jonesboro, TX, and Marc Hibner and wife, Rebekah of Salado; grandchildren, Avery, Aubrey, Myca, Braydon, and Ashton; stepdaughter, Brandie Colquitt of Ohio; sisters, Vicki Dueno, Cheri Hibner, Melione Rasor, Rebekah Hibner, and Angel Templin.
