Steven Bernard States

Steven Bernard States, age 42 of Riesel, Texas passed away on March 5, 2025. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10 at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville.

Steven was born in Gatesville on August 21, 1982, to Melinda States Reid. Steven attended school in Gatesville ISD and eventually settled in Riesel. Steven graduated from Marlin ISD in 2007. He loved to listen to music, especially country and old rock. Steven was friendly to everyone and never met a stranger. He enjoyed being with people and having a good time.

He is preceded by his grandfather, Joe Pick.

Steven is survived by his mother, Melinda Reid; brothers, John Reid and Carl and Ryan Reid; and niece, Shelby Reid.
