Suzanne Veronica Jones

Suzanne (Sue) Jones, age 73 of Gatesville, Texas, passed away on Monday April 21, 2025.

Celebration of Life services will be held at a later date.

Sue was born in Huntington Park (Los Angeles), California in 1951 to Fred and Alice Waldron. She grew up in Paramount, California and graduated from Paramount High School in 1969. As a young adult she was quite the athlete, playing Women’s Professional Football and competing in a bowling league. She worked several jobs over the years and retired from PacifiCare/ United Health Care after 24 years. She moved to Texas to be with her daughter and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family, road trips, going to the movies, and putting her numerous tools to good use.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Alice Waldron. She is survived by her daughter, Brandi Jageler and husband Luke; grandchildren, Baylie Battles and husband, Cayden, Morgyn Strand-Jageler, Thomas Jageler, and Adeline Jageler; great-grandson, Elijah Battles; siblings, Rick Waldron, Betsy Waldron, Nancy Neil Gienger, James Waldron and wife, Kathy, and Suzi Clark; and nieces and nephews, Michelle Avila, Danielle Neil, Anthony Avila and Raymond Avila.
