Teresa Mendez, age 59 of Gatesville, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Jay officiating. A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Scott's Funeral Home, followed by a visitation with the family.
Maria Teresa Mendez was born on October 2, 1964, to the late J. Jesus Camacho De Haro and Benita Ramirez Bueno in San Felipe, Guanajuato, Mexico. She grew up and attended school in San Felipe. In June 1983 she married Martin Mendez Sandoval and the two made their home in San Felipe. They had four children together and in 1993, moved to Gatesville.
Teresa was a loving mother who enjoyed cooking, sewing, singing, and taking care of her family. She was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and sang in the church choir. She was a very spiritual woman who was always willing to give and never expected anything in return.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ma. Concepcion Camacho Ramirez, and Rosa Maria Camacho Ramirez.
Teresa is survived by her husband, Martin Mendez Sandoval; sisters, Maria De Los Angeles, Maria, Benita, Ma.Luisa; brothers, Agustin, Jesus, Tomas, Gerardo, Rigoberto, Marco Antonio, and Jose Pedro; children, Marcela Ganoza and husband, Alan, Martin Mendez and wife, Kaylie, Isabel Martinez and husband, Gerardo, and Antonio Mendez and wife, Alondra; grandchildren, Sean, Camila, Owen, Noelia, Aniston, Emma, Olivia, Isaac, Leslie, Jasmine, Yarely, Bella, Yvette, Daliana, and Dariela; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Teresa Méndez, de 59 años residente de Gatesville falleció el lunes 23 de Octubre de 2023.
Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo en Scott’s Funeral Home el Viernes 27 de Octubre 2023 a las 6:00 PM, se oficiara un rosario y después se llevará a cabo la velación del cuerpo. Sábado 28 de Octubre 2023 a las 10AM. Se trasladará a la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de Lourdes para misa de cuerpo presente que oficiara el padre Jay. Y después será trasladada a el cementerio Restland para ser sepultada.
María Teresa Méndez nació el 2 de octubre de 1964, hija del fallecido J. Jesús Camacho De Haro y Benita Ramírez Bueno en San Felipe, Guanajuato, México. Creció y asistió a la escuela en San Felipe. En Junio de 1983 se casó con Martín Méndez Sandoval y los dos establecieron su hogar en San Felipe. Tuvieron cuatro hijos juntos y en 1993 se mudaron a Gatesville.
Teresa era una madre amorosa que disfrutaba cocinar, coser, cantar y cuidar de su familia. Fue miembro activo de la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de Lourdes y cantó en el coro de la iglesia. Era una mujer muy espiritual que siempre estaba dispuesta a dar y nunca esperaba nada a cambio.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; hermanas, Ma. Concepción Camacho Ramírez y Rosa María Camacho Ramírez.
A Teresa le sobreviven su esposo, Martín Méndez Sandoval; hermanas, María De Los Ángeles, María, Benita, Mamá Luisa; hermanos, Agustín, Jesús, Tomás, Gerardo, Rigoberto, Marco Antonio y José Pedro; hijos, Marcela Ganoza y esposo, Alan, Martín Méndez y esposa, Kaylie, Isabel Martínez y esposo, Gerardo, y Antonio Méndez y esposa, Alondra; nietos, Sean, Camila, Owen, Noelia, Aniston, Emma, Olivia, Isaac, Leslie, Jasmine, Yarely, Bella, Yvette, Daliana y Dariela; y numerosos sobrinos y sobrinas.
