Teri Kizer

Teri (Tar-Tar) Kizer, age 44 of Gatesville, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family and friends at her home on Saturday, February 11, 2023.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Grace Assembly Christian Church, 2315 Osage Road in Gatesville, with Rev. Wray Nunn officiating.

Teri Michelle Kizer was born on March 5, 1978 in Gatesville.  She attended school in Gatesville and earned her associate degree in environmental health and safety, from T.S.T.C. in Waco.  She worked at Domtar in Waco and for Kalyn-Siebert Trailers in Gatesville.  Teri loved spending her free time outdoors and fishing with her family.  Those that knew her, would attest that she never met a person she didn’t want to feed or an animal she wouldn’t try and save.  Being in her presence made the world a better place.  The light she shared, will continue to shine through those she left behind. 

Teri is survived by her wife, Laura Kizer; two sons, Nathaniel Kizer and Noah Kizer; parents, Ralph and Betty Kizer; mother-in-law, Melinda Darby; and many extended family members of the  Horn and Darby families; sister, Melissa Lee and husband, Jesse; brother, Ricky Kizer and wife, Cheyenne; nieces, Reagan Kizer, Karmen Lanham, London Kizer; nephews, Damain Lee, Christian Lee, Colby Sheets, Rayce Kizer, Gaven Don Lee; great niece, Piper Sheets; and many friends.
