Terrie Tippit Lee

Terrie Tippit Lee, age 71 of Gatesville, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Bobby Davis officiating.  Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery.  Terrie’s family will receive visitors one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Terrie Lynn Lee was born on October 9, 1952, in Gatesville to Joyce Hartwick Tippit and the late Ray Tippit. She attended Gatesville High School and was the first Sweetheart of the Gatesville High School Rodeo Team her senior year. She graduated from Gatesville High School in 1971 and married Gary Lee on December 3, 1971.  She attended Central Texas College and was Sweetheart of the CTC Rodeo Team 1971-1972. She worked for Tippit Western Wear until going to work for T.D.C.J. in the mailroom at the Murray Unit, retiring in 2013.  After her retirement, she worked alongside her husband on their ranch.  Terrie loved watching and supporting Kristian and Chance in all their rodeos through the years.  Terrie loved spending time with her family. Her most favorite times were being "Honey" to Kian and "Nonnie" to Myler and Brayden. She loved watching her boys play ball and was their “#1 Fan!” She and G traveled many miles over the last few years watching the boys compete in baseball, football, and basketball games and roping.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Tippit.

Terrie is survived by her husband, Gary Lee; children, Kristian Lee Brown and husband, Jim (Troubles) Brown, Chance Lee and wife, Brittny; mother, Joyce Hartwick Tippit; sister, Debbie Maxwell and husband, Daryl; three grandsons, Kian, Myler and Brayden, and numerous family and friends.
