Therese Heiler

Therese Heiler age 69 of Gatesville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Coryell Community Church, with Rev. Matt Dossey officiating.  Interment will follow at Davidson Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Scott’s Funeral Home.

Therese Ann Heiler was born on October 20, 1952 in Harbor Beach, Michigan to the late Julius and Marilyn Howard Peyerk.  She grew Bad Axe, Michigan and graduated from Marysville High School in 1970.  She married Mike Heiler on August 17, 1984.  She worked at the Conoco Station in Gatesville for many years and Granny’s Day Care.  She worked alongside her husband, Mike at JHL Construction until her retirement.  She was a member of Coryell Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charlie (Tuna) Peyerk; and an infant sister, Carol Peyerk.

Therese is survived by her husband, Mike Heiler; son, William LaVere and wife, Stephanie; daughter, Tonya Ruff and husband, Shawn; seven grandchildren, Ariel Allred and husband, Blake, Alex LaVere, Andy LaVere, Abby LaVere, Lily LaVere, Michella Martinez, Heiler Martinez; and a expected great grandson in December.

The family has designated that memorials be directed to The Big Sting, 3417 Imperial Dr., Gatesville, TX 76528.
