Vonny Allene Harris

Vonny Harris, age 51 of Mound, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at her home.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August, 28, 2024 at White Mound Baptist Church with Pastor Bruce Cox officiating. 

Vonny Allene Harris was born on January 6, 1973 to the late Melvin and Phyllis Hunt Amspacher in Fort Hood, Texas. She grew up in Pidcoke, Texas and attended school in Gatesville, graduating from Gatesville High School in 1991. She married Ronald Harris on April 18, 1992, and after a brief time in Florida, made their home in Mound. She worked for Mars Wrigley in Waco before retiring in 2023. She was a wonderful wife and mother, having a huge heart for all those that she loved. She was especially proud of her husband and her children. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and caring for her family. 

Vonny was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Guy Amspacher. 

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Harris of 32 years; children, James Caramon Harris, Laurana Harris, and Kitiara Harris; sisters, Teri Amspacher and Olive Eisenhauer; brothers, Gary Amspacher, Melvin Amspacher, Jacob Amspacher, and Vernon Amspacher; and numerous nieces and nephews.
