Wanda Etchison

Wanda Etchison, age 95 of Waco passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel.  Private interment will be at Osage Cemetery.

Wanda Ruth Etchison was born on August 22, 1928 in Ackerly, Texas.  She was the daughter of the late Chester and Ruth Graves Ingram.  She married Billy Ray Etchison in 1946.  They resided in Ackerly all their married lives. They moved to Waco in 1999 and her husband preceded her in death shortly thereafter on October 24, 1999.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, J.C. Ingram.

Wanda is survived by a daughter, Lanelle Boyd and husband, Chris of Woodway; sister, Peggy Campbell of Lamesa; sister-in-law, Lila Graham of Pearland; grandchildren, Cristin Reyes and husband, Michael and Courtney Smotherman and husband, Jody; great grandchildren, Grant, Ashland, Joseph, Zach and Christopher.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lucy and Peter Lupu and their family at Lucy’s Loving Care for their loving care of Mrs. Etchison for over seven years.
