Wesley (Wes) Kellerman

Wesley (Wes) Kellerman, age 80, of Gatesville, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018.  Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wray Nunn officiating. Visitation will be immediately following services at the funeral home.Wes was born on May 26, 1937 in Coryell City, Texas to the late Henry and Marie Lander Kellerman.  He grew up in Coryell City and went to school in Gatesville.  He served in the U.S. Air Force as an airplane mechanic for four years, where he met Jean Zirkle.  They married on October 11, 1960 in Georgia. They resided in Gatesville and Coryell City all their married lives.  She preceded him in death on June 3, 2000.  He worked for Coryell County Road and Bridge, Precinct 2 for several years.  He also worked at Powell Supply for over 20 years and retired from Poco Automotive in 2006.  He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Fugate and Laverne Shea.He is survived by a daughter, Sheri Montgomery and husband, Bob of Lampasas; sister, Velma Lethco of Coryell City; five grandchildren, Meredith Cockrell and husband, Trent, Ben Hamilton and wife, Jessica, Chuck Montgomery and wife, Caroline, Melisa Calhoun and husband, Dewey, and Jesse Montgomery and wife, Ashley; 13 great-grandchildren, Layne, Cael and Scarlett Cockrell, Keith and Wesley Hamilton, Ethan, Ella, Evan, and Emily Montgomery, Ashley, Elizabeth, Makayla, and Colton Calhoun; and his constant companions, Isabella and Jesse, his fur babies.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3919 E.
