William Harvey Mullins

William H. Mullins, age 87, of Pottsville, Texas passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 in Gatesville. The family is planning a private gathering at a later date. Bill was born on November 9, 1931 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Augustus and Lois (Caldwell) Mullins. He attended school in Fort Worth in the Diamond Hill School District before joining the United States Army in 1955. He married Alphia Hooper Copeland in 1959 in Fort Worth, TX. After discharge from the U.S. Army, Bill worked for LTV and General Dynamics for over 20 years.  He then pursued a career with the US Postal Service serving in Tyler and Canton.  After retiring and moving to Hamilton, Bill worked for the Hamilton Independent School District. Bill is survived by his wife, Alphia Mullins, his children, James Copeland and wife, Susan, Don Copeland, Suzan Mullins, and later adopted Myste Mullins, Jeremy Mullins, Victoria Helman and husband, Daniel; granddaughters, Megan Copeland, Anna Vestle and several great grandchildren.
