Terry King

Terry King, age 69, of Gatesville, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

Graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Hemmeline Cemetery.

Terrell Don King was born September 14, 1952. He spent his entire childhood on the family farm in the small community of Plainview, just outside Gatesville. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1971, where he played football and was active in 4H, showing shorthorn steers.

Terry had a love for farming that never left him. He was a huge Texas A&M fan and read TexAgs daily; if you ever needed to know what was happening with Aggie football he could tell you! In his recent years he could always be found at the breakfast table at Pruitt's.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis King and Frances Koch King.

Terry is survived by his daughters, Kandi Luensmann, Kari McKown and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Braden Luensmann, Hailey Luensmann, Maci McKown, Luke McKown, Zack McKown; and sister, Rosemary King.
